Dr. James M. Culhane earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the West Virginia University School of Medicine. Following the completion of his doctoral degree, he accepted a faculty appointment in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and Nursing, Wilkes University, where he served for 10 years. For the past 10 years, Dr. Culhane has been actively involved with the Collaborative Teaching Fellowship Program, a partnership between the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University, and local teaching-intensive colleges and universities. In this role, he has mentored over 30 early career scientists, providing them with training and experience in teaching within higher education.
